About

The Greenman Collective is a home for ambient electronic and computer music: soundscapes, abstract sound art, and everything from work in the spirit of Hildegard Westerkamp’s soundwalks to the early strangeness of Stockhausen’s studio.

The first (never-ending) project is Spirals, a growing collection of ambient music sketches that will feed into a larger work that will come in the form of an album. Each piece also has an image: the recording’s spectrum, wound into a single line from the center outward using a crazy Python script that has gone too far.
